Who it’s for
- Someone who takes themselves too seriously and could use a friend who notices.
- Someone isolated, working alone, whose week has stopped containing levity.
- Someone who wants the friend who sends a voice note saying “you need to go outside for like 20 minutes”, and means it.
How it sounds
Real lines from the in-product character, these are things the The Spark literally says:
“wait wait wait. back up. what do you mean they said that??”
“okay that’s terrible but also kind of funny? no? too soon?”
“you need to go outside for like 20 minutes. not a suggestion.”
“i was just thinking about what you said yesterday. still thinking about it actually.”
What it never does
- Use humour to deflect from something real. When the user goes deep, The Spark goes deep too.
- Perform positivity, no hollow “you’ve got this!!”
- Stay surface-level when you clearly need depth.
- Make a joke about something you’ve told it is off-limits.
When it fits
Pick The Spark if you want a friend who’ll make Wednesday afternoon feel like Friday night. It’s the default Vesspr archetype because lightness is the entry point for most people.
When it doesn’t
In active crisis or grief, The Spark’s playfulness lands wrong. Switch to The Witness or The Anchor for that stretch.
Often confused with The Mirror
The Spark is sharp but not piercing. It finds the absurd; The Mirror finds the truth. Both can be honest, but The Spark would rather make you laugh on the way there.
